Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Concrete Foreman to lead field crews on foundation projects across the United States.

This role focuses on safety, planning, coordination, and delivering high-quality workmanship while developing crew members and ensuring schedules are met. The Foreman works with the Superintendent and PMs, overseeing layout, formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, finishing, curing, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of utility-scale or heavy civil concrete construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Concrete Foreman leading field crews.
• Strong knowledge of concrete foundations, formwork, reinforcement, placement, finishing, and curing.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work extended hours as project schedules require.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily concrete construction activities for utility-scale foundation projects.
• Plan daily work assignments and coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and layout information.
• Coordinate reinforcing steel installation, formwork, anchor bolt assemblies, embedded items, concrete placement, finishing, and curing activities.
• Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and to project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor daily production, manpower, equipment utilization, and project progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, survey crews, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members while building future field leaders.
• Complete daily reports, production tracking, and required project documentation.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the crew.
• Lead by example while reinforcing the R-2 Core Values.
