Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily site operations on nationwide projects. The role involves scheduling, procurement of materials, manpower management, and coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure on-time completion.

You will supervise direct labor, oversee contracted work, and enforce safety and quality standards across multiple sites, traveling as required to support projects across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years on large-scale, ground-up commercial construction projects; light industrial experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes; reading blueprints accurately.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures and staffing for each construction phase.
• Coordinate project schedule with Project Manager and develop look-ahead schedules.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Inspect work to ensure conformity with specifications and schedules.
• Manage labor costs by adjusting crew mixes and assignments.
• Ensure safety policies and quality standards are implemented consistently.
