Job summary

The STO Building Group Careers seeks a Construction Superintendent to run daily site operations, scheduling, production, and materials procurement on a full‑time, on‑site basis. Travel to project locations is required.

You will supervise direct labor, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and report progress to the Project Manager to keep milestones and budgets on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects, especially light industrial/cold storage.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply building codes accurately.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Strong written/verbal communication and administrative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures, staffing, and timelines for each construction phase.
• Coordinate project schedule with Project Manager using look-ahead schedules.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to support work plans.
• Ensure all parties are informed and aligned on progress and issues.
• Collaborate with supervisors and subcontractors to review scopes and schedules.
• Resolve workforce issues and maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Assist in moving personnel between projects to optimize labor costs.
• Prepare and contribute to the Project Management Plan.
