Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a National Director - Showsite Labor to lead all aspects of the Freeman Audio Visual showsite labor teams, including union, non-union, full-time and independent contractors. The role directs national labor processes and ensures compliance across regions, while supporting the AV Production team.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with expectations to be in the office or on-site at events, minimum three days per week, from regional offices in Dallas, TX,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• 4 years managerial experience in this field.
• 10 years of related experience in multi faceted areas of operations.
• Excellent analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills, and problem resolution skills.
• Understanding of employment laws such as Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, etc.
• Understanding of OSHA requirements.
• Successful at leveraging technology and people to optimize efficiencies and service delivery.
• Develop a culture of continuous process improvement.
• Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, managing and retaining employees.
• Ability to effectively present written and verbal communications.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Solid understanding of Audio Visual industry (or closely related entertainment industry).
• Solid understanding of labor laws.
• Ability to develop and adhere to project timelines.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of Freeman Audio Visual showsite labor teams, including union, non-union, part-time and independent contractors.
• Oversee national labor processes and procedures; provide oversight to all showsite personnel.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and coordinate with GM and branch staff.
• Develop and implement scheduling processes for show personnel; optimize staffing.
• Research software for national scheduling access and oversee implementation.
• Manage current labor database for daily scheduling.
• Recruit, hire and train talent for the national labor pool.
• Align titles and levels to regional needs; support IATSE negotiations.
• Collaborate with legal to manage contracts and resolve disputes.
• Establish efficiencies with measurable fiscal impact.
