Job summary

Foundation Medicine is seeking a National Sales Trainer (Associate Director) to design, lead, and continuously improve commercial training programs that build product knowledge and launch readiness across US field teams.

You will translate priorities into scalable learning experiences, partnering with Commercial Leadership, Marketing, Medical, Legal/Compliance, and Field Enablement to ensure compliant and measurable training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 7 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 4 years experience; or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in commercial training, sales enablement, learning & development, pharmaceutical/biotech/diagnostics, or related commercial roles.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders, serving as a thought partner to the business.
• Cultivate deep business knowledge and partnerships to inform the development of the learning strategy in support of near and long team needs of the business.
• In partnership with the Director Product & Capability Training, conduct all field training needs including all new hire field training, ongoing and advanced training, product launches, national, divisional, and regional meetings, distance learning programs, instructor-led programs, and other identified training opportunities and methodologies.
• Proactively uncover and assess gaps in the knowledge of the Commercial organization, and work with the training team and other departments to address them.
• Partner with subject matter experts and resources, both internally and externally, to implement and deploy learning solutions.
• Implement and continuously optimize the new-hire sales training for newly hired field team members.
• Travel domestically at least 30% of the time.
