The primary purpose of the National Sales Manager is to drive national revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention, sales operations, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives. This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader capable of shaping national sales strategy, inspiring and mentoring a high-performing, geographically dispersed sales team, and championing Medisca’s commitment to customer excellence.

The role is remote. Travel to Montreal, Quebec, Canada will be required.

The Opportunity

Manage the US Sales Team

  1. Lead, train, coach, mentor, and motivate a diverse team to achieve individual and team sales targets across the region.
  2. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  3. Establish clear sales objectives and ensure consistent communication across the team to align with company goals.
  4. Provide and revise annual forecasts for the assigned territories and the total market.
  5. Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with company goals to increase sales.
  6. Identify training and development needs across the national sales force and implement targeted programs to drive professional growth and sales effectiveness.
  7. Visit key customers and prospects across the U.S. to deepen relationships, gather feedback, and identify new growth opportunities.
  8. Represent the company at relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events to stay abreast of market trends and build relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  9. Assist in planning road visits/blitz to promote Medisca’s offerings.
  10. Actively network within the industry, gathering insights to enhance sales strategies and improve market position.
Analyze Sales and Statistics
  1. Continuously track sales metrics, KPIs, and performance data for each territory to ensure alignment with regional and national goals.
  2. Analyze trends within each territory to determine potential sales growth.
  3. Review monthly statistics for each territory.
  4. Evaluate and create KPIs for the sales team, track daily/monthly sales, and review additional reporting.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and other internal departments to ensure alignment and cross-functional collaboration. Provide feedback to product teams based on market insights and customer needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of sales management experience.
  • Six (6) years of management experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Physician detailing.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical sales, or medical industry.
  • Must have a valid passport and be available for travel up to 12 weeks per year.
  • A strong leader with a positive attitude and the ability to influence and coach others.
  • Proven decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM and QMS systems such as MasterControl.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
