THE POSITION: National Sales Lead

As the National Sales Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting and leading a team of Design Consultants (DCs) on the National Sales Team. This role combines hands-on leadership with personal sales responsibilities, where you will not only oversee daily operations and support your team but also be actively involved in selling. You will work closely with the Regional Sales Director to communicate corporate initiatives, manage the team’s schedules, ensure KPIs are being met, and most importantly, meet your own personal sales goals. This position requires a strong focus on both leadership and sales performance.

WORK ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

Team Supervision & Support:

  • Oversee and manage the daily schedules for the National Sales Team (DCs), ensuring appropriate coverage for calls, chats, and consultations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the team, providing hands-on support with customer inquiries, consultations, and troubleshooting challenges.
  • Provide real-time guidance and feedback to team members, helping them navigate complex customer issues and ensuring the highest levels of service.
  • Motivate and inspire the team, recognizing achievements and offering feedback to improve performance.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Director to ensure alignment with corporate initiatives and communicate important updates, policies, and promotions to the team.
  • Relay key information and updates to the team, ensuring they are prepared and aligned with goals and expectations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices, sales strategies, and product knowledge, ensuring consistent growth and performance.

Customer Experience & Product Expertise:

  • Monitor the team’s performance to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey.
  • Support team members in navigating customer inquiries and providing expert guidance on product recommendations and solutions.
  • Assist with escalated customer issues, offering support to resolve challenges.
  • Share product knowledge and design solutions with the team, ensuring they are equipped with the tools to succeed in every consultation.

Sales Performance & Reporting:

  • Play an active role in driving sales and meeting personal sales goals based on alignment with the Regional Sales Director.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director to assess team performance and implement strategies to drive success.
  • Track daily performance metrics for the National Sales Team, ensuring calls, chats, and consultation requests are being answered and handled efficiently.
  • Use performance data to identify areas for improvement and provide regular feedback to the team.
  • Ensure the team meets KPIs and sales targets, providing ongoing support to help them meet or exceed expectations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role, ideally within a remote team environment.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team daily.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage schedules, track performance, and provide guidance to the team.
  • A customer-first mindset, with the ability to handle customer inquiries and issues while ensuring the team maintains high levels of satisfaction.
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership, to align goals and drive company initiatives.
  • Strong product knowledge and a passion for sharing expertise with others.
  • Comfortable using technology and CRM platforms to track performance and manage team operations.

The base salary range for this position is $80k-$90k, commensurate with experience.
