Job Description / Justification

We are currently searching for an exceptional addition to our team! The Sales Lead and New Business Development Consultant will focus on cultivating new business relationships for a growing consulting practice and exceeding existing clients’ expectations. This role is ideal for a senior professional with an innovative mindset and a solutions-oriented approach. The primary responsibilities include serving as the main contact, promoting the brand, enhancing profitability, discovering new opportunities, establishing leads, and maintaining relationships with decision-makers and buyers.

Responsibilities
  1. Create and execute full-cycle sales and marketing plans to develop positioning and meet revenue goals.
  2. Facilitate pitch logistics, proposal responses, RFP requirements, and content creation.
  3. Lead proposal processes, presentations, and capability briefings for new business and partnerships.
  4. Identify and screen new leads; contact decision-makers for potential opportunities.
  5. Share industry trends, knowledge, and customer insights through education, networking, and analysis.
  6. Update company profiles and pricing structures on purchasing portals.
  7. Develop post-launch strategies, monitor results, and implement improvements to maximize success.
  8. Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and collaborate with the Client Relationship Manager.
  9. Manage accounts and sales processes using PipedriveCRM.
  10. Participate in weekly meetings via Zoom or MS Teams.
  11. Represent the company at major national conferences.
  12. Commit to 20-30 hours per month over six months.

  • 5+ years of experience selling services to Fortune 500/1000 companies with strong business acumen.
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate procurement processes.
  • Experience managing client relationships, leading sales strategies, and succeeding in customer-facing roles.
  • Ability to acquire business intelligence and maintain an active pipeline.
  • Existing relationships in corporate or supplier diversity sectors.
  • Experience attending conferences such as WBENC, NMSDC, NGLCC.
  • Familiarity with supplier diversity portals like Ariba.
  • Proven success in B2B sales and negotiations.
  • Motivated to win contracts, with skills in data analysis, forecasting, and resource management.
