Job summary

Source 21, a national metals distributor and processor, is seeking an Outside Sales Manager to drive new accounts and grow the relationships you already own across the country.

You’ll own your book, travel to client sites and industry events, and negotiate within approved guidelines to build long-term programs. Reliability is central, and you’ll be trusted to take initiative and follow through.

On-site in Columbus, Ohio, with regular travel; relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years in outside or B2B sales.
• Experience in raw materials wholesale, distribution, or processing is a strong plus.
• Specialty metals sales experience is a strong plus.
• Good at building relationships and negotiating.
• Self-directed enough to own and grow a book on your own.
• Solid written and verbal communication.
• Up for regular travel.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Find and go after new accounts in our target sectors: medical, aerospace and defense, power generation, industrial OEM, and advanced manufacturing.
• Pull RFQs in the field and work with inside sales to get quotes out.
• Feed market and competitor intel back to the team.
• Grow customer relationships with regular in-person visits and attend industry events.
• Negotiate pricing within approved guidelines and hit targets.
• Coordinate order entry and account support with internal teams.
