Job summary

HICO America, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Manager, Outside Sales to drive national sales for transformers, switchgear and related power system solutions. The role leads a cross-functional team to grow revenue and secure key accounts across North America.

The ideal candidate has a technical engineering background, strong sales leadership, and a proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects with stakeholders in engineering, operations and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; MBA preferred for advancement.
• 7+ years of work experience in Outside Sales or related roles.
• 3+ years of direct management experience.
• Experience selling into Transmission, Distribution, and Generation markets.
• Willingness to travel within USA and Canada, including occasional international trips.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage outside sales activities for HICO America's product portfolio.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow revenue and market share.
• Recruit, mentor, and empower a national sales team.
• Establish clear goals and metrics to drive growth and accountability.
• Build relationships with utility and generation customers to win new business and partnerships.
