Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a National Leader of the Ophthalmology Account Management Team to lead a field team of Account Directors focused on late-stage pipeline assets.

You will shape strategic direction, foster deep partnerships, and orchestrate cross-functional engagement across teams to drive patient outcomes and product access. You will report to the US Franchise Leader of Ophthalmology and participate in the Franchise Leadership Team, while driving a culture of accountability and high performance

Qualifications

• 12+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech or related industry.
• 7+ years managing direct reports.
• 5+ years in strategic/key account management with enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ophthalmology Account Management Team at national level.
• Shape strategic direction for Ophthalmology franchise in US.
• Oversee account segments including retinal practices and large networks.
• Engage with C-suite and clinical leadership for executive sponsorship.
• Coach and mentor field team; drive professional development.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across SAMs, BEMs, sales, reimbursement, and Medical.
• Provide launch oversight and market shaping initiatives.
