Job summary

Scale Microgrids is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to own the inventory management program across our nationwide fleet of operating energy assets. You will establish centralized visibility into spare parts and replacement equipment across sites, warehouses, and third-party storage, and develop systems, controls, and replenishment strategies.

Based at our Ridgewood, New Jersey headquarters, you will report to the Senior Director of Procurement and partner with Operations, Maintenance,

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in inventory/materials management or related roles.
• Experience owning inventory controls like SKUs, reorder points, and cycle counts.
• Hands-on ERP/CMMS or asset-management system experience.
• Strong Excel and ability to develop inventory KPIs and reports.
• Experience across multiple warehouses, sites, and third-party logistics.
• Knowledge of serialized/high-value parts, spare-parts planning, and emergency sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Own Scale’s inventory management across nationwide operating assets and storage locations.
• Develop and maintain a centralized inventory database with visibility into quantity, location, status, and movement.
• Set stocking policies, min/max, reorder points, and safety stock; manage replenishment to minimize downtime.
• Forecast spare parts and replacement equipment with cross-functional teams.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with manufacturers, distributors, warehouses, and 3PLs.
• Lead cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Track obsolete or slow-moving stock and determine disposition or redeployment.
• Develop inventory KPIs and reporting; integrate with ERP and service workflows.
