Job summary

Scale Microgrids is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to own the inventory program across a nationwide portfolio of operating energy assets. You will establish centralized visibility into spare parts and replacement equipment across sites, warehouses, and third-party storage, and develop systems and replenishment strategies to ensure critical materials are available when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing inventory controls and processes.
• Experience with ERP/CMMS or asset-management systems.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory management across nationwide portfolio of operating assets, sites, warehouses, and third-party storage locations.
• Develop and maintain a centralized inventory database and tracking system for quantity, location, status, ownership, availability, and movement.
• Establish inventory control standards: item master structure, stocking policies, min/max levels, reorder points, safety stock, and critical-spares requirements.
• Forecast spare-parts and replacement-equipment needs with Ops, Maintenance, and technical teams.
• Manage replenishment and purchasing to minimize asset downtime.
• Maintain traceability of serialized/high-value equipment and manage inter-location transfers.
• Establish cycle-counting and physical-inventory procedures; reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor obsolete/slow-moving inventory and recommend disposition or redeployment.
• Liaise with manufacturers, distributors, warehouses, and 3PLs; maintain inventory KPIs and reporting.
• Lead continuous improvement of inventory systems and processes; integrate with ERP/asset-management workflows.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and project teams to support reliable operations.
