Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks a paralegal with 3+ years of Insurance Coverage Litigation experience to support attorneys through all stages of complex litigation in state and federal courts nationwide.

You will assist from intake through discovery, motions, trial preparation, and appellate matters, ensuring meticulous document handling and deadline management. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong research and writing skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of legal experience, preferably in litigation, insurance coverage, or a law firm environment.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced litigation environment.
• Excellent organizational, written, verbal communication, and independent problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with e-filing, document management, legal research, or e-discovery platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys from case intake and investigation through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, post-trial matters, and appellate practice.
• Prepare, finalize, and file motions, discovery materials, agreements, pleadings, memoranda, and other legal documents in state and federal courts nationwide.
• Manage discovery, including subpoenas, witness coordination, depositions, discovery requests/responses, document review, production, privilege logs, and quality-control tasks using Relativity or similar e-discovery platforms.
• Conduct factual research and investigation using public records, court filings, case materials, Westlaw, and other legal research tools.
• Maintain organized case files, calendars, litigation databases, and deadlines while communicating professionally with clients, experts, witnesses, vendors, court personnel, and other contacts.
