Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join our team. The role will handle insurance defense and general litigation matters from our Hartford office.

You will manage cases through all phases, respond to discovery, defend depositions, and participate in motions, pretrial conferences, mediations, and hearings. Strong writing and client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or general litigation.
• Licensed to practice in Connecticut; admission to Federal Court is a plus.
• Experience with LexisNexis or Westlaw and hourly billing/timekeeping.
• Strong writing, research, organization, and case management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense cases through all phases of litigation.
• Respond to discovery, defend depositions, and handle motions and pretrial conferences.
• Represent clients in court and conduct trials in coordination with the managing attorney.
• Negotiate settlements and maintain effective client communication.
• Collaborate with paralegals and the legal team on criminal defense matters as needed.
