Job summary

Cromwell Architects Engineers is seeking a Business Development Representative to identify and secure new opportunities in the Industrial market nationwide. This role requires strategic networking, strong CRM experience, and a proven track record in sales within the A/E industry.

Based in Charlotte, NC, you will travel up to 50%, develop compelling proposals, and build long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and general contractors to position the firm for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in business development, preferably within the A/E industry.
• Proven track record of securing and managing client relationships and contracts.
• Familiarity with design and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on growth of the industrial market.
• Initiate contact with decision-makers such as C-Suite executives, facility directors and maintenance managers.
• Build long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and general contractors to position the firm for future opportunities.
• Identify upcoming projects, RFPs, and partnership opportunities through market research and networking.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, trade shows and networking functions.
• Track and report on business development activities, project pipeline, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations.
• All other duties as assigned.
