Job summary

Komatsu US dealer network seeks a National Field Service Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on mining equipment across the United States. Travel up to six weeks at a time with one week off, working independently or with a team to keep customers' equipment safe and productive.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a journeyman trade certification, and strong troubleshooting, safety, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman trade/technical certification in electrical systems, welding or mechanical preferred.
• Clean driving record; willingness to travel.
• 5 years' mining experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with VFDs, MCC, and high voltage.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex systems in the field.
• Install and configure electrical components and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Document service work and maintain accurate and timely reports on job status and completed tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address complex problems and implement effective solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices to enhance personal and team performance.
