Job summary

Komatsu US dealer network seeks a National Field Service Electrician focused on surface mining equipment across the United States. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on mining equipment, travel to diverse sites, and work both independently and with a team to ensure safe, reliable operation.

This role requires strong troubleshooting, adherence to electrical codes, and excellent customer service as you support customers nationwide, with travel up to six weeks at a time and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman trade/technical cert in electrical, welding or mechanical preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• 5 years' mining experience preferred.
• Experience with VFDs, MCC, and high voltage.
• Industrial electrical systems in field service.
• Knowledge of electrical codes & safety standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication & customer service.
• Willingness to travel extensively; flexible hours incl. weekends/holidays.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs in the field.
• Install and configure electrical components and systems per standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to improve performance and reliability.
• Document service work and maintain reports on status.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build client relationships.
• Collaborate with engineering/support to solve problems.
• Stay current with industry trends to improve performance.
