Job summary

Komatsu US dealer network is hiring a National Field Service Electrician for surface mining equipment nationwide. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, with extensive travel to diverse job sites.

Safety, reliability, and customer service are central. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an electrical trade certification; willingness to travel and collaborate with engineering and support teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman trade / technical certification in electrical systems preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• 5 years' experience in mining preferred but not required.
• Experience with VFDs, MCC, and high voltage recommended.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex systems in the field.
• Install and configure electrical components and systems in accordance with safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Document service work and maintain timely reports on job status.
• Provide exceptional customer service, building strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address problems and implement solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
