Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a National Field Service Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on mining equipment throughout the United States. This role involves substantial travel, often six weeks on the road with one week off, and requires independent work as well as teamwork with engineers and support staff.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and a journeyman electrical certification or equivalent experience, plus a strong safety focus and excellent communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman trade / technical certification in electrical systems preferred.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel across the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on field equipment.
• Install and configure electrical components per safety regs and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve equipment performance.
• Document service work and report status and tasks clearly.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to solve complex issues.
• Stay current with industry trends to improve team performance.
