Job summary

Komatsu US dealer network seeks a National Field Service Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on surface mining equipment across the United States. Travel up to six weeks with one week off, working independently or with a team.

You will diagnose complex electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document work while ensuring safety and high reliability for customers. A high school diploma and electrical trade certification are required, with mining

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Journeyman trade/tech certification in electrical, welding, or mechanical preferred.
Clean driving record.
5 years' mining experience preferred but not required.
Experience with VFDs, MCC, and high voltage.
Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex systems in the field.
Install and configure electrical components and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Document service work and maintain accurate and timely reports on job status and completed tasks.
Travel across the United States up to 6 weeks at a time, with 1 week off.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address complex problems.
