Job summary

Roche is seeking a Senior Field Engineering Specialist for Mass Spectrometry to serve as the national SME. You will lead complex nationwide installations, advanced maintenance, and diagnostic troubleshooting of cobas i601 MS platforms across the United States.

You will bridge engineering and applications workflows, train clinical staff nationwide, and mentor other field engineers. A strong background in LC‑MS/MS and related hardware is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or chemistry field and 3–5 years of related repair/maintenance experience.
• Experience repairing clinical or analytical mass spectrometry systems (LC-MS/MS) preferred.
• Willingness to travel nationally and work after hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as national SME for cobas i601 MS platforms across customer laboratories.
• Diagnose and repair high‑end mass spectrometry hardware and LC/UPLC systems.
• Provide advanced preventive maintenance and deep diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Deliver national training to clinical lab personnel and internal teams.
• Mentor field engineers and support national escalation efforts.
