Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Data Management Discipline Leader to shape and govern the firm’s environmental data workflows across ESG programs. You will guide data validation, analytics integration, and platform strategy to reduce data risk and support defensible decision-making.

You will lead the adoption of EQuIS and related tools, oversee QA/QC workflows, and collaborate with field data acquisition, dashboards, and reporting teams to deliver high-quality environmental data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 7+ years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Experience with environmental data management platforms and data validation workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor staff.
• Experience coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams and enterprise tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for environmental data management across ESG programs.
• Develop data governance frameworks, SOPs, and guidance documents.
• Lead EQuIS-based data management and data validation workflows.
• Coordinate with analytics, GIS, and IT teams to connect validated data to dashboards.
• Support project startup with data requirements, SAPs, and reporting workflows.
• Promote automation and scalable data workflows across projects.
