Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Environmental Data Management Discipline Leader to elevate environmental data management as a defined technical discipline across ESG programs. You will drive strategy for EQuIS platforms, data governance, QA/QC workflows, and analytics-enabled delivery.

You will mentor staff, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and support project startups with data requirements, dashboards, and reporting while advancing defensible decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• 12+ years of experience in environmental data management (preferred).
• Experience with EQuIS and data management platforms; data governance and validation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for environmental data management across ESG programs.
• Develop data governance frameworks, SOPs, templates, and guidance documents.
• Lead EQuIS platform strategy, data loading, validation workflows, and analytics integration.
• Lead the development of defensible data validation and QA/QC workflows across programs.
• Support project startup to embed data management requirements in scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with analytics, GIS, digital engineering, and other teams to connect validated data to dashboards and reporting.
