Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Environmental Data Management Discipline Leader who will elevate the firm’s environmental data management practices across ESG programs. You will set standards, govern data workflows, and coordinate validation and analytics initiatives.

The role requires leadership across projects, mentoring staff, and collaborating with GIS and digital teams to deliver dashboards and decision-support tools. Domestic travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. 7 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed (20%–40%).
• Experience with EQuIS or similar environmental data management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for environmental data management across ESG programs, including strategy, standards, workflows, training, and technical support.
• Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, SOPs, templates, and guidance documents for environmental data management.
• Lead EQuIS platform strategy: database consolidation, data loading, validation workflows, and reporting integration.
• Advance defensible data validation and QA/QC workflows across federal, state, and industrial programs.
• Support project startup to embed data management requirements in scopes, budgets, and schedules.
