Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Environmental Data Management Discipline Leader to drive the firm's data management capabilities across ESG programs. You will establish scalable workflows, govern data standards, and lead EQuIS-based initiatives, advancing data validation, analytics, and reporting across projects.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with GIS and digital teams, and support project startups by embedding data management requirements in scopes and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for environmental data management across ESG programs, including strategy, standards, workflows, training and technical support.
• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, SOPs, templates, and guidance for environmental data management.
• Lead EQuIS-based data management, including database strategy, consolidation, validation workflows, and integration with reporting/analytics tools.
• Develop defensible data validation and QA/QC workflows using EQuIS tools and third‑party validation support.
• Support project startup to embed data management requirements in scopes, budgets, schedules, and reporting workflows.
• Coordinate with analytics, GIS, and digital teams to connect validated data to dashboards and Power BI.
• Advance field data acquisition and automation to improve real‑time data availability and integration with databases.
• Oversee development of discipline IP, training materials, dashboards, and standard workflows; maintain resources in KM systems.
