Job summary

Stantec seeks a US Distribution Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate a nationwide distribution line engineering practice. You will oversee the alignment of people, project delivery, and program support across the United States, creating an integrated coast-to-coast practice with a shared vision.

You will guide resource planning, technical excellence, and growth while partnering with operations and sector leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one U.S. state is required.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in Distribution line engineering or engineering management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the U.S. Distribution practice as a single integrated national team.
• Provide leadership and oversight to Distribution line engineering managers and teams.
• Develop and execute strategic vision, growth plan, and operational objectives.
• Drive utilization, workforce planning, and resource management across the organization.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance where needed.
• Track progress and report performance indicators in leadership and project meetings.
• Balance workload and support profitable project delivery with other leaders.
• Ensure projects meet Stantec quality, safety, and technical standards.
• Support recruitment, retention, and professional development across the U.S.
• Build relationships with utility clients and partners; represent Stantec at events.
• Support account planning, capture planning, and major opportunity development.
