Job summary

Stantec is seeking a US Distribution Engineering Manager to lead, advance, and coordinate our Distribution Line engineering and design practice across the United States, reporting to the Power Delivery Operations Manager.

This national leadership role requires building an integrated coast-to-coast practice, guiding technical quality, resource planning, and project delivery, while nurturing client relationships and developing leaders across the firm.

Qualifications

• Leadership of distributed engineering teams across regions.
• Deep knowledge of US electrical distribution market and standards.
• Experience delivering grid modernization and reliability projects.
• Strong client engagement, capture planning, and proposals.
• Ability to mentor leaders and develop staff.
• Solid understanding of distribution design tools and platforms.
• Travel up to 20 percent; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the US Distribution practice as a single integrated national team.
• Provide leadership and performance oversight to managers and teams.
• Develop strategic vision, growth plan, and operational objectives.
• Drive utilization, workforce planning, and resource management.
• Collaborate with operations, sector leaders, and account managers.
• Support recruitment, retention, and professional development.
