Job summary

Henderson Engineers seeks a Sr Building Technology Systems Director to act as the national business leader for BTS. You will shape strategy across OT, cybersecurity, and building technology, directing investment, and growing a national practice while maintaining technical excellence and client focus.

Lead multidisciplinary teams, align projects with standards, and drive innovation in intelligent building systems, security, and facility operations for diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, security management, or a related field required; master's preferred.
• 15+ years in telecommunications design, electronic safety and security design, OT, OT cybersecurity or physical security consulting.
• Minimum 7 years in leadership roles with a proven track record of growth and strategic impact.
• Experience advising building owners/operators on BTS across multiple disciplines.
• Advanced knowledge of telecom infra, safety/security systems and OT principles.
• Proficient in network design, OT/IT architecture, and solutions architecture.
• Certs such as PE, RCDD, CISSP, PSP, CPP preferred.
• Experience with IBMS, BAS, SCADA, access control, video surveillance; premises telecom infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual business planning and strategy for BTS with growth goals.
• Develop and execute financial strategy to meet targets.
• Set strategic direction for BTS; manage investment decisions and innovation.
• Align BTS policies with laws, regulations, and corporate guidelines.
• Coordinate BTS with owners, GCs, and commissioning agents; ensure client value.
• Drive client relationships and business development for BTS services.
• Mentor staff; foster collaboration and high standards across teams.
• Represent Henderson in industry forums and thought leadership events.
