Henderson Engineers seeks a Sr. Building Technology Systems Director to lead national BTS practice, drive strategy, and deliver innovative OT/IT solutions.

You’ll manage investment decisions, oversee performance, and mentor teams across disciplines to advance the company’s Building Technology initiatives. Role focuses on strategic leadership, technology innovation, and client relations, with extensive experience in OT cybersecurity, IBMS/BAS/SCADA, and industry standards ensuring the highest

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, security management, or a related field required.
• Master's degree or higher in building technology, cybersecurity, or business administration is preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant experience across telecommunications design, electronic safety and security design, OT cybersecurity, or physical security consulting; leadership/mgmt experience preferred.
• Proficiency in OT/IT network design, and solutions architecture; certifications like PE, RCDD, CISSP, PSP, CPP preferred.
• Experience with IBMS/BAS/SCADA, access control, video surveillance, and telecom infrastructure required.
• Knowledge of industry standards (NIST, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, BICSI, TIA/EIA, NFPA 730/731, NEC, IBC) required.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office; strong design/tools background.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual internal business planning and strategy sessions to set growth goals.
• Develop and execute the financial strategy to meet financial and performance goals.
• Provide strategic direction around Building Technology Systems and align with company-wide initiatives.
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for Building Technology Systems.
• Collaborate with sector and organizational leadership to integrate BTS approaches with overall strategy.
• Drive client engagement, pursuits, and relationships to expand business opportunities.
