Job summary

Henderson Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Sr Building Technology Systems Director to lead the national Building Technology Systems (BTS) practice. You will steer strategic direction, select technologies, and oversee client engagement across facilities, cybersecurity, OT/IT integration, and safety systems.

This role requires deep telecom design and OT security expertise, a track record of leadership, and the ability to drive growth through innovative solutions across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required; master's preferred.
• 15+ years in building technology, OT/IT, or security consulting with leadership experience.
• Experience providing consultancy to building owners and operators.
• Knowledge of BTS, IBMS/BAS, SCADA, access control, video surveillance, and telecoms.
• OT cybersecurity, regulatory standards (NIST, IEC 62443, ISO 27001) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual internal planning and growth strategies for BTS practice.
• Set financial goals and direct investments to expand market presence.
• Oversee client engagement and cross-functional collaboration with HEI sectors.
• Drive innovation and adopt new building technology solutions across projects.
