Job summary

Reading Partners is seeking a Managing Director of Development to lead the national development team and drive revenue growth across regions. This remote role reports to the VP of Development and oversees five fundraisers, including Regional Directors and an Institutional Giving Director.

The role demands 10+ years in fundraising with 3+ years in people management, plus expertise in institutional fundraising and Salesforce. Travel is required quarterly to regions and occasional HQ in Oakland.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive fundraising experience
• 3 years of people management experience
• Expertise with institutional fundraising
• Ability to lead national and regional fundraising
• Strong donor relationship building and communications

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline fundraising for national institutional donors, managing a portfolio of $2–$4M
• Oversee Regional Directors of Development and Director of Institutional Giving
• Align national and regional fundraising plans and regional priorities
• Develop compelling grant proposals and reporting in collaboration with finance and marketing teams
• Coach and supervise fundraising staff to meet and exceed goals
