Job summary

D&B Grocers, headquartered in Westland, MI, is seeking a National Chain Sales Representative to drive sales growth across designated routes in Michigan territory. You will engage retailers, write orders, and promote programs and promotions while maintaining relationships with store teams.

Role requires 1–2 years of related sales experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and ability to analyze data to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a related field (retail/grocery or sales).
• Proficient with using Apple iPad, cell phone, and Microsoft Office software.
• Valid Driver's License, valid auto insurance, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Meet with store-level management to discuss sales opportunities, promotions, and new products.
• Write accurate weekly orders, ensuring proper inventory levels and minimizing out-of-stocks.
• Sell in incremental displays, new items, and additional points of distribution.
• Provide product knowledge and updates on new innovations in our brand portfolio.
• Conduct store-level business reviews to highlight sales performance and opportunities.
• Monitor competitive products and pricing, and share insights with management.
• Execute merchandising programs, including product rotation and shelf schematics.
• Collaborate with Merchandisers to build displays and support in-store execution.
• Communicate delivery schedules, order quantities, and service needs to store contacts.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, including profit and margin considerations, to store managers.
