Job description

IDR | National Accounts Division - This is a remote role! Preferred location of candidate in order: Nashville, Dallas, Denver, or Atlanta.
The Opportunity

IDR is seeking a driven, hunter-minded National Account Manager to service and grow a portfolio of existing enterprise accounts.

With client agreements already in place, you will identify contacts, secure meetings, uncover staffing needs, and build relationships that generate business. You will also manage existing client relationships and partner with recruiting teams to deliver exceptional service.

We are targeting professionals with 3-5 years of relevant experience who can turn access to an enterprise account into relationships, placements, and sustained growth.

Who Thrives in This Role?

You bring a business development mindset to account management. You enjoy prospecting into new departments, setting meetings, and earning business from hiring managers who may not yet know IDR.

You also take ownership of servicing those relationships through consistent communication and follow-through. You understand that an established MSA creates access—and your initiative turns that access into opportunity.

What You’ll Do
Penetrate and Grow Existing Accounts
  • Execute growth plans for assigned national accounts with established client agreements.
  • Identify and prospect hiring managers, decision-makers, departments, and project teams.
  • Generate meetings through outbound calls, emails, referrals, networking, and targeted follow-up.
  • Understand client organizations, buying processes, project priorities, and staffing needs.
  • Convert client conversations into qualified job requirements, placements, and account growth.
Manage Client Relationships and Programs
  • Serve as a primary contact for assigned relationships, providing responsive service and regular communication.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers, practice leaders, procurement teams, and contingent workforce stakeholders.
  • Navigate direct client relationships and managed service provider (MSP) and vendor management system (VMS) programs.
  • Understand client agreements, rates, submission requirements, and onboarding expectations.
  • Resolve service issues and identify opportunities for extensions, redeployment, and additional hiring.
Partner With Recruiting and Own Results
  • Translate client needs into clear recruiting priorities, including skills, compensation, timelines, and interview expectations.
  • Partner with recruiters and manage the client side of hiring through interviews, offers, onboarding, and starts.
  • Obtain actionable feedback and coordinate with internal teams to address delivery challenges.
  • Achieve activity, meeting, placement, revenue, and gross margin goals.
  • Negotiate rates within established agreements and maintain accurate CRM records, pipelines, and forecasts.
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of staffing account management or business development experience, with at least 3 years required.
  • Demonstrated success expanding existing accounts and developing new hiring-manager relationships.
  • A track record of outbound prospecting, setting meetings, and converting opportunities into business.
  • Experience managing client relationships and partnering with recruiting teams throughout the staffing lifecycle.
  • Strong discovery, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and engage business, technical, procurement, and program stakeholders.
  • A self-directed approach with consistent follow-through and ownership of results.
Preferred Experience
  • IT or technology staffing sales.
  • Account penetration within consulting, advisory, systems integration, commercial enterprise, or SLED - state government, local government, and higher education.
  • Growing enterprise accounts under established master service agreements.
  • MSP/VMS programs, including SAP Fieldglass or Beeline.
  • Understanding project-based consulting demand, statements of work (SOW), and related staffing needs.
Why IDR?

Build on established enterprise partnerships with support from dedicated recruiting teams and National Accounts leadership. You will own client relationships, uncover untapped opportunities within major accounts, and directly influence the division’s growth.

If you excel at opening doors within existing accounts, earning client trust, and turning relationships into results, we'd love to hear from you.
