Job summary

Prosperity Training Center is seeking an LVN Instructor to deliver Nurse Assistant Training. The role covers 60 hours of theory and 100 hours of supervised clinical training, conducted under CDPH-approved NATP curriculum in Fresno and surrounding areas.

The instructor must hold an active California RN/LVN license and have nursing experience, plus experience planning and evaluating nursing education programs. This is a part-time to full-time PRN opportunity with flexible instructional hours.

Qualifications

• Resume depicting verifiable work experience. Must include work experience in month/year to month/year format, name and address of each employer, job duties and contact telephone number for HR or supervisor.
• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years of nursing experience (RN, LVN).
• One year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
• Twenty-four hours of continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing (Director of Staff Development Certificate or Transcript) within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans to correlate with course outline.
• Understand and apply teaching strategics when implementing lesson plans.
• Create and maintain a safe environment conducive to learning within the classroom and clinical lab.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and clinical settings.
• Knowledge of and adherence to training site standards.
• Participate in staff in-services and advisory meetings.
• Provide student assessments, as necessary.
• Assure students have met all requirements prior to clinical placement.
• Report incidents to the NATP Administrator, RN/PD, and facility Administration.
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation using CDPH approved forms.
• Complete daily attendance, manage absences, and schedule makeup dates/times.
• Provide supervised clinical training in a CDPH approved nursing facility.
• Instructor must be free of all other duties during theory and supervised clinical training.

Education

Active RN or LVN license in California.

Two years nursing experience (RN, LVN).

One year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.

Twenty-four hours continuing education in planning education programs in nursing (Director of Staff Development Certificate or Transcript).
