Qualifications

• Director of Staff Development or Instructor Requirements per CFR/Health & Safety Code.
• Resume with verifiable work experience including month/year format and HR contact.
• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years of nursing experience (RN, LVN).
• One year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing education programs.
• Alternative: 24 hours continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing education programs completed within six months and approved by BRN or accredited institute.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans aligned with course outline.
• Apply effective teaching strategies in theory and clinical settings.
• Create and maintain a safe, learning-focused environment.
• Maintain classroom and clinical discipline and uphold site standards.
• Participate in staff in-services and advisory meetings.
• Provide student assessments and ensure eligibility for clinical placement.
• Maintain accurate records and CDPH-compliant documentation.
• Schedule and manage attendance, absences, and make-up sessions.
• Provide supervised clinical training in CDPH-approved facilities within 15:1 student ratio.
• Demonstrate flexibility, organizational skills, and teamwork.
