Job summary

Prosperity Training Center in Fresno, CA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Instructor to deliver 60 hours of theory and 100 hours of supervised clinical training under the NATP curriculum.

The instructor will prepare lesson plans, supervise clinical practice, and ensure compliance with CDPH standards. Requires active California LVN license and 2 years of nursing experience, including elder care or chronic illness care.

Qualifications

• Resume with verifiable work experience and dates.
• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years of nursing experience (RN or LVN).
• One year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing (or 24 hours CE in planning/implementing/evaluating educational programs).

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans to align with the course outline.
• Apply teaching strategies for theory and clinical training.
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment in the classroom and clinical lab.
• Maintain discipline and adhere to training site standards.
• Provide student assessments and ensure clinical placement requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate records using CDPH approved forms and keep student files for 4 years.
• Oversee supervised clinical training and ensure student-to-instructor ratios are met.
