Job summary

Big Night Entertainment Group is seeking a Grill Cook for our Back-of-House, part-time team in Massachusetts. You will grill, portion, and plate foods following company recipes, while maintaining clean, safe stations and adhering to sanitation guidelines.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of grill experience in a fast-paced setting, preferably with Asian cuisine. A neat appearance and strong teamwork are essential. This role is non-exempt and part-time, with potential weekend hours.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year grill experience in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant.
• Experience with Asian cuisine is preferred.
• Food Safety Certification a plus.
• A neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to work in a high volume/fast-paced work environment.
• Proper knowledge of use and maintenance of all equipment in station.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Description

As a Grill Cook, a typical day might include the following:

• Preparing, portioning, and grilling foods in accordance with company recipes
• Setting up, maintaining, and cleaning stations in practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational skills while adhering to restaurant guidelines
• Ensuring quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including good personal hygiene, cleaning of surfaces and sweeping of floors, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures
• Observing safety and security procedures, determining appropriate action beyond guidelines and report potentially unsafe conditions
• Restocking all items as needed throughout the shift
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
