Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Validation Engineer in Raleigh, NC to develop and validate MV-SST platforms and medium‑voltage power solutions. You will plan, execute, and document verification activities for systems up to 35kV, collaborating across electrical, firmware, controls, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities include analyzing test data, preparing validation reports, supporting certification testing, and ensuring safety and compliance throughout the lab and field stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Internship experience in testing/validation engineer role is preferred.
• Ability to develop and execute engineering test plans.
• Familiarity with electrical power systems and lab test equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop verification and validation plans for MV-SST and medium‑voltage products.
• Analyze test data for compliance with requirements and standards.
• Prepare validation reports and technical documentation for reviews.
• Support UL, IEEE, IEC, and utility compliance testing activities.
• Document design issues and corrective actions; report to project teams.
