Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Validation Engineer to lead System Test at our Weirton, WV facility. You will own on‑site validation of multi‑pack battery systems, translating PRDs into rigorous test plans and directing high‑level campaigns.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Controls, Firmware, and Operations to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable system validation, with relocation assistance and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 5+ years in system‑level integration, hardware validation, commissioning, or multi‑physics testing.
• Experience turning PRDs/ConOps into validation plans and executing campaigns.
• Strong leadership with hands‑on ownership in high‑power/test labs.
• Familiar with power electronics, CAN/Modbus/Ethernet, fluid loops, BMS controls.
• Knowledge of safety systems, LOTO, HazID, and high‑energy procedures.
• Collaborates with Project Engineering, Commissioning, Manufacturing teams; Jira/Confluence experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations for multi‑pack test assets at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV.
• Drive commissioning, OATs, energization, and risk‑aware test planning.
• Translate PRDs/ConOps into system‑level validation plans (VALs).
• Direct and execute complex test campaigns: power flow, cycling, controls, safety.
• Coordinate daily testing priorities across teams and on‑site personnel.
• Troubleshoot system‑level anomalies across multiple domains to unblock progress.
• Publish validation reports showing PRD compliance and gating milestones.
• Uphold LOTO, HV safety, chemical handling, 5S, and hazard controls.
