Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking an Applications Engineer for its Arden, NC location. You will support development of engineered solutions for medium voltage control assemblies and related motor control applications, aiding customers through the project lifecycle and conducting technical training seminars.

The role involves field support, problem solving, and collaboration with plant and field teams to translate customer needs into compliant, manufacturable solutions. Travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience in an industrial/mfg setting.
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of Arden, NC; no relocation assistance.
• Eaton does not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or similar work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Support development of engineered solutions for MVCA products (starters, reactors, control applications).
• Identify conflicts, risks, and non-standard requirements early in the order cycle.
• Provide recommendations balancing customer needs with Eaton standards and capabilities.
• Support field sales engineers and customers during project development and execution.
• Assist in interpreting new equipment applications and coordinating interfaces.
