IEM is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer specialized in Medium Voltage to lead design, testing, and certification of innovative power products. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers, guiding projects from concept to production with a strong emphasis on NRTL processes and DFx.

Candidates should have 5+ years in MV/LV power equipment, a BS degree, and SolidWorks proficiency. Location options include Franklin, TN; Tualatin, OR; or San Antonio, TX.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years designing low/medium voltage power distribution equipment.
• BSME or equivalent degree required.
• Experience with NRTL evaluation, testing and certification processes.
• Familiarity with UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A and IEEE C37.20.2 standards.
• SolidWorks experience for 3D modeling preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead New Product Development projects from inception through production.
• Define NPI engineering scope and ensure successful execution.
• Create detailed drawings, 3D models and BOMs for prototypes.
• Coordinate with NRTLs to define certification scope.
• Develop test plans and oversee testing at internal and external labs.
• Support DFx with manufacturing engineers throughout development.
• Conduct failure analyses and pursue continuous improvement.
