Job summary

MMR Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide field engineering, quality control and commissioning support for the electrical scope of an industrial capital project at a wastewater treatment facility in Raleigh, NC. The role covers 12.4 kV MV down to 480/120 V, including switchgear and substations, with collaboration alongside the Construction Manager.

Applicants should have 10+ years of electrical experience on industrial construction projects, NEC/NFPA 70E knowledge, and strong

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering; university degree preferred; college diploma with extensive field experience also considered.

Responsibilities

Review electrical design documents and participate in design reviews.
Verify materials and equipment against project specifications.
Coordinate day-to-day work with the Construction Manager and provide site coordination with contractors.
Perform daily field inspections of electrical installations.
Verify installation of electrical equipment including MV switchgear, substations and distribution.
Witness electrical testing and support commissioning activities.
Track CSA schedule activities, RFIs and submittals.
Carry out quality control activities to confirm work meets drawings and specs.
Provide documentation support including test records, turnover packages and as-builts.
Prepare progress reports and provide project status updates in meetings.
