Job summary

Maverick Power, a leading energy solutions company, is seeking an experienced R&D Electrical Engineer to design and test LV/MV power system solutions. You will drive development from concept through prototype and validation, ensuring performance, safety, and reliability.

The role requires hands-on engineering in LV up to 1kV and MV up to 38kV, with collaboration across mechanical, software, and product teams.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5–8 years in R&D or design of LV/MV power systems.
• Experience with LV up to 1kV and MV 1kV–38kV is preferred.
• Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, UL standards.
• SolidWorks Electrical proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and develop LV/MV electrical systems for 1kV–38kV.
• Prototype and test power system components such as transformers and switchgear.
• Lead testing and validation to ensure safety and reliability.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and product teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and design specifications.
• Ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards (NEC, NEMA, OSHA).
• Troubleshoot issues during development, testing, and field deployment.
