Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a compassionate Music Therapist to provide patient-centered music therapy within the hospice setting.

You will assess patients, develop and implement music-based interventions, and monitor effectiveness in alignment with the plan of care. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary collaboration, HIPAA compliance, and timely documentation of sessions, with a schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy.
• Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC/MT-BT), National Music Therapy Registry, American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) certification or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check, consumer report, and drug test.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness.
• Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort.
• Educate the team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement.
• Document sessions promptly.
