Career Opportunities in New London, CT seeks a full-time Greeter to create a welcoming first impression in the museum lobby. The role supports admission, provides orientation, and guides visitors to exhibits and amenities with friendly, clear communication.

Responsibilities include managing queues, assisting with directions, and reporting visitor feedback. Prior hospitality or visitor services experience is preferred; bilingual ability is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in customer facing roles.
• Ability to stand or move in a busy lobby for 4–6 hours.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays and evening events as required.
• Bilingual visitor service capability.
• Strong wayfinding or concise storytelling skills.

Responsabilidades

• Proactively welcome guests, distribute maps and materials and provide orientation to museum amenities and events.
• Support orderly admission or check in queues and direct visitors to restrooms, elevators, lockers, cafes and gallery areas.
• Coordinate with the Visitor and Event Coordinator on daily program shifts, closures, event logistics and visitor communications.
• Communicate basic gallery rules and provide government-approved information about programs and memberships.
• Maintain a tidy reception area, restock brochures and maps, report custodial needs and assist with lobby signage and equipment setup.
• Log common visitor questions, complaints and feedback through established procedures.
