Job summary

Queens Museum is seeking a Visitor Services Associate to act as a public-facing representative and welcome visitors at the admissions desk and galleries. The role supports ticketing, wayfinding, and program information, ensuring a positive museum experience.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service and cash-handling experience, and be able to communicate effectively in a diverse, bilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service and cash-handling point of sale experience.
• Ability to interface with the public.
• Interest in Museums, Arts & Culture, community building and learning.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist visitors with admissions and wayfinding.
• Greet visitors and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Inform visitors about exhibits and programs at QM.
• Stay up to date on QM offerings and local attractions in Flushing-Meadows Corona Park.
• Resolve visitor concerns and questions.
• Support setup, facilitation and breakdown of events and workshops.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
