Job summary

The Visitor Services Associate role at the South Carolina State Museum Commission involves greeting guests, handling admissions, and operating the 4D Theater. You will rotate duties between ticketing, check-ins, and theater management while delivering exceptional customer service in a culturally vibrant setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred) and a willingness to learn; prior experience in amusement/theater/retail is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Experience with amusement organizations, theaters, or retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the museum ticketing system and check in guests at admissions.
• Manage theater reservations and run the 4D Theater shows.
• Provide exceptional guest service and resolve issues.
• Answer the main museum phone line and assist inquiries.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and keep desks clean and organized.
• Support programs, exhibitions, and special initiatives through visitor engagement.
