Job summary

Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is hiring a Café Supervisor to lead our Café team and deliver excellent guest service at the museum in Illinois. You will supervise staff, ensure menu and service standards, and handle POS transactions with accuracy and courtesy.

The role requires leadership, customer service excellence, and reliable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. A Food Manager Safety certification is preferred and experience in a café setting is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with POS systems and café environment.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and work alongside Café staff in preparing and providing great food and beverages.
• Direct coaching and mentoring of Café staff.
• Train staff in food preparation, quality service, cleanliness, and orderly processes.
• Contribute to a teamwork environment and adhere to scheduled shifts.
• Represent the company in a professional manner according to policy.
• Process payments using the point-of-sale system and handle cash/credit payments.
• Greet guests with a smile and maintain a positive attitude.
