Job summary

Minnesota Children's Museum is seeking a Box Office Visitor Assistant to provide friendly service at the box office, lobby, and galleries. You will process ticket sales using a computerized system and help meet sales goals while ensuring a welcoming environment.

Shifts include weekdays and every other weekend, with some evenings and federal holidays. The role offers opportunities to support museum programs and engage families in a fun, educational setting.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience.
• Experience working or volunteering with children in an educational or recreational setting.
• Experience using a computerized POS system.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all visitors while maintaining a safe environment.
• Accurately process all types of sales using computerized ticketing system.
• Achieve designated sales goals.
• Ensure exhibits are ready for visitor use.
• Support visitor operations and needs through the museum including outdoor spaces like the terrace and backyard.
• Support division initiatives including service, education, and sales programs.
• Attend and participate in daily opening meetings, department meetings, trainings, and other meetings as scheduled.
